Blocked gutters can overflow in heavy rain, letting water run where it should not. Leaf build-up also adds fuel close to the roof line in bushfire-prone parts of Greater Sydney. Regular gutter cleaning keeps water flowing to the downpipes.
What our gutter cleaning service covers
- Removal of leaves, sludge and debris from gutters
- Bagging of debris for disposal
- Flushing gutters and checking downpipe flow where accessible
- Visual check for obvious issues we can report to you
Benefits
- Helps prevent overflow during storms
- Reduces leaf build-up near the roof line
- Pairs well with roof cleaning and solar panel cleaning
How we approach the job
Debris is removed by hand or with gutter tools, bagged, and the gutters are flushed so we can see water flowing to the downpipes. If a downpipe is blocked below ground level, we will let you know, as underground stormwater lines may need a plumber.
Things to know before you book
- Gutter cleaning does not repair rust, leaks or sagging gutters.
- Blocked underground stormwater pipes need a licensed plumber.
- Gutter guard may need to be lifted to clean underneath; please tell us if you have it.
What affects your quote
- Length of guttering and number of storeys
- Amount of debris
- Gutter guard
- Roof pitch and access
Every property is different, so we quote each job individually. Send us a few details and photos if you have them, and we will come back to you with a clear quote.
Frequently asked questions
How often should gutters be cleaned?
It depends on nearby trees. Many homes are fine with a clean once or twice a year, while properties under large trees may need more frequent cleaning.
Do you take the debris away?
Debris is bagged. Disposal arrangements are confirmed in your quote.
