Exterior walls collect dirt, mould, mildew, cobwebs and spider webs over time — especially on shaded sides of the house. A house wash refreshes the exterior and is popular before selling, before painting or ahead of special occasions.

How we approach the job
House washing is mostly done with soft washing: a suitable cleaning solution applied at low pressure, then a gentle rinse. This cleans painted and rendered surfaces without the damage high pressure can cause. We take care around windows, vents, light fittings and electrical points.
Things to know before you book
- Chalky or failing paint may come off during washing — this usually means the paint is due for renewal.
- Some staining, such as rust or efflorescence on brick, may need specialist treatment.
- Please close windows and doors and let us know about any leaking windows before we start.
What affects your quote
- House size and number of storeys
- Wall materials
- Level of mould and staining
- Access around the property
Every property is different, so we quote each job individually. Send us a few details and photos if you have them, and we will come back to you with a clear quote.
Frequently asked questions
Will house washing damage my paint?
Soft washing is gentle on sound paint. Paint that is already chalking or failing may lift, and we will point this out if we see it before we start.
Do you clean windows as part of a house wash?
Exterior window frames are rinsed as part of the wash. Detailed, streak-free window cleaning is a separate service that can be added.
